About Acadia University
Offering more than 200 degree combinations, Acadia is one of the oldest and most respected liberal art colleges in Canada. The university is situated at Wolfville, the 250-acre campus of the university displaying world-class administrative, academic, housing, and recreational facilities.
Acadia’s academic structure is divided into four faculties- Arts, Pure and Applied sciences, Professional studies and theology over 200 faculty members from 60 different countries. Acadia is endowed with 15 research centres that explore ethno-cultural diversity, social justice, climate change, data mining, the impact of digital technologies, and lifestyle choices contributing to health and wellness. The university is affiliated with the International Association of Universities (IAU).
Acadia broke the glass-ceiling barrier by admitting women to its university in 1830’s. It possesses 11 men and women varsity teams. Open Acadia offers flexible learning, including programs for community, youth and correspondence courses for working professionals.
